Enter your CURRENT data for these items in the spreadsheet and then perform the following calculations
- Calculate number of Customers = New Customers + Current Customers + Returning Customers where
New Customers = (number of prospects * conversion rate) and
Returning Customers = (number of customers *{1- retention rate}* return %)
- Calculate Sales = Number of customers * Frequency of sales * size in $
- Calculate Profit = Sales * profit margin
Now spend some time thinking about what would happen if you sent four Greeting cards to your Prospects and Clients. We could call this a “standard” four card per year campaign.
Prospects might receive greeting cards saying a.“Nice to meet you”, b. “Did you know …”, c.“Did you know…” and d. “We’d love to have your business”.
Customers might receive greeting cards saying a.“Happy birthday”, b. “Thank you for your ongoing business – we appreciate it..”, c.“Did you know…” and d. “Happy New Financial Year”.
Lost customers might receive greeting cards saying a.“We’ve missed you”, b. “We would love to hear from you again …”, c.“Is there something you could tell us?…” and d. “Happy birthday”.
After you’ve thought about it for a while, YOU decide what impact that would have on YOUR customers – and enter the EXPECTED data for these items in a spreadsheet and perform the calculations to come up with YOUR expected new profit.
What is YOUR expected INCREASE in profit?
Would it justify a YEARLY cost of $7.50 per customer and a single one-off investment for the entire organisation of $400?
